- Built-in texts. 816 texts ship inside the app: 125 Bible verses from 39 books, 125 prayers, 125 Christian reflections, 125 affirmations and 316 short Lock Screen encouragements, sorted into 12 topics such as Quiet Trust, Living Grace, Holy Nearness.
- Feast dates. The app calculates all 30 feast dates itself, year after year: Western (Gregorian) Easter and the days that move with it, the First Sunday of Advent and US Thanksgiving. The countdown page lists them.
- Saints. One saint or feast for each of the 366 days, based on the Catholic calendar of saints. Biographies come from Wikipedia (CC BY-SA) and photos from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons; each saint’s page in the app credits Wikipedia and links to the article. The saints calendar lists every day.
- Photos and paintings. Most of the countdown’s feast photos come from Unsplash, and you can search Unsplash from inside the app. The 17 classic paintings, such as Rembrandt van Rijn’s The Return of the Prodigal Son, are reproductions from Wikimedia Commons labeled public domain or CC0.
About
About MySavior
MySavior is an iPhone app of Christian widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen, made by the MySavior team. It includes Bible verse and prayer widgets you design yourself, a countdown to 30 Christian feasts such as Advent, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Easter and Pentecost, a Saint of the Day widget for every day of the year, and 17 Christian symbol Lock Screen widgets.
Why we make it
Faith, a glance away
We make MySavior so that a prayer, the next feast of the Church year and the saint of the day sit on the screens you already look at, instead of inside one more app you have to remember to open. We keep the app focused on widgets, and we describe it exactly as it is, including what it does not do.
That is why the counts on this website are checked against the app’s source code every time the site is built, and why pages say plainly that MySavior is in English only, that the Home Screen Bible Verse widget does not change on a schedule, and that the countdown follows the Western date of Easter.

Illustration with real app content. The countdown is shown as of October 8, 2026.
