Questions and answers
What is MySavior?
MySavior is an iPhone app of Christian widgets (Bible verse, feast-day countdown and Saint of the Day) for your Home Screen and Lock Screen. It is made by the MySavior team for iPhone with iOS 18.6 or later, and it is in English.
Which widgets does MySavior include?
22 widget kinds: a Bible Verse widget for the Home Screen (small and medium); the Christian Countdown (Home Screen small, plus rectangular, circular and inline Lock Screen sizes); Saint of the Day (Home Screen small, Lock Screen rectangular and inline); two Lock Screen encouragement widgets (rectangular and inline); and 17 Christian symbol widgets for the Lock Screen (circular and rectangular).
How do I add a MySavior widget?
Install MySavior and open it once. For the Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area until the apps jiggle, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for MySavior. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose Lock Screen, then tap the area below the time (or the date above it, for an inline widget) and pick a MySavior widget. Step-by-step guides: Home Screen and Lock Screen.
How does the countdown know when Easter and Advent are?
MySavior calculates every date itself: Western (Gregorian) Easter and the feasts that move with it, such as Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Ascension and Pentecost; the First Sunday of Advent; and US Thanksgiving. The next Easter is Sunday, March 28, 2027, and the next First Sunday of Advent is Sunday, November 29, 2026.
Does the Saint of the Day change by itself?
Yes. It changes at midnight, with a saint or feast for each of the 366 days of the year, February 29 included. Tap the widget to read the saint's story in the app; biographies come from Wikipedia and stay available offline after the first load.
